Abstract

The pyrolysis yields of gaseous and condensed phase fractions of rice hulls and rice straw were determined over the temperature range of 350-1000°C. Gas composition was analyzed. When expressed on a day, mineral matter-free basis, results obtained were not substantially different from those reported for wood and cellulose, except for higher observed concentrations of CO.
